#9: Northwestern Oklahoma State names high school AC/former West Texas A&M HC Jones as its new HC. AD Franz: "Coach Jones came here and laid out a vision for Ranger Football and his resume speaks for itself with experience at the NFL, all levels of collegiate football and coaching in the ever tough football state of Texas. Being a Ranger Sports Hall of Famer and former Ranger student-athlete, Ronnie understands the Ranger Football culture. #8: The CIAA Board of Directors has terminated Chowan's affiliate FB membership, stating the decision reflects "the direction of the conference regarding membership growth and stability." CU President Peterson: "We are committed to getting our football program conference affiliation and feel confident that this will happen sooner rather than later. #1: The NCAA DII Committee on Infractions ruled that Missouri Southern State failed to monitor its football program, which committed multiple NCAA violations over two academic years, including impermissible recruiting inducements and benefits, academic misconduct and violations of countable athletically related activities. Penalties include three years probation (thru Nov. 2, 2025), a $5K fine, FB scholarship reduction to 34.2 for 2022-23, vacation of FB records for games in which ineligible S-As participated, a one-week prohibition on off-campus recruiting during the 2022-23 year and show-causes orders for former staff members.
