#3: Colorado School of Mines Asst. AD for Communications Tim Flynn suggests the NCAA’s partnership with Hudl, which was meant to expand access to DII games, is doing the opposite. “Lost 76% of our online viewing audience with the paywall today compared to last year’s NCAA second round game, plus our entire TV audience. We are getting a whopping 6% of the net revenue back. Not sure how that is extending the reach of Division II championships.” (link)

#2: Emporia State Women’s Soccer HC Bryan Sailer has been placed on paid administrative leave and members of the team will face limited playing time in the NCAA tournament due to violations of the ESU student-athlete code of conduct. Per the school release: “Emporia State Athletics is committed to the high standards and integrity of its program and holds student-athletes, coaches and staff accountable to its established policies. The team has a history of high performance both on and off the field but remains responsible for the consequences of recent actions.” (link)

#1: The Saint Rose Board of Trustees have voted to close the 103-year-old institution at the end of this academic year. Interim President Marcia White: “The closure of Saint Rose is truly heartbreaking for all of us who care deeply about the history and legacy of this institution and the extraordinary students we serve and have served for 103 years. We are announcing this now, months in advance of the actual closure, to give you as much time as possible to plan for your future.” (link)
